About the Organizers
Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) is an autonomous, non-political, non-profit, scientific and technical organization domiciled in an Asia Pacific region fixed by the Core Council. Asia Pacific includes countries in Asia and those located near the Pacific Rim. APQO's Mission/Vision is to be recognized as the universal prime mover in terms of continuously improving the quality not only of goods and services all over the world but also the quality of life of its people. The objective of APQO is to be achieved through efficient organization, promotion and development of appropriate means to meet with other associations, institutions, groups and individuals concerned with and/or engaged in work related to quality improvement of goods and services. To date, APQO is listed in the World’s Selected Quality Institutions and is linked with fifteen other quality or standards organizations in the world.
Network for Quality, Productivity and Competitiveness-Nepal (NQPCN) is a network of entrepreneurs, managers, academicians and consultants of Nepal established in 2004 as a non-profit making association to enhance competitiveness through sharing, learning and applying globally developed quality and productivity tools and techniques for social and economic development in the nation. Sharing a common strong conviction in quality, NQPCN members from the fields of management, information technology, education, economics, sociology, engineering and business have provided it the strength in diversity bringing together academic concepts and practical application of the subject. With this vision and mission, NQPCN is hosting the APQO’s 16th International Conference on Quality in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2010.
